Global Uniformity

For each of the numbered regions shown below the mean and noise, or standard deviation, at the location of the central slice are measured. The central slice is the slice location where the four 0.5mm diameter aluminum beads have the maximum signal strength.

In the plot below, the blue bars display the mean pixel intensity values for each of the five regions. The black error bars extend from one standard deviation below the mean value (lower end) to one standard deviation above the mean (upper end).
